Neptune in nature!

Today as part of their science topic on animals, Neptune Class  travelled to Queen Elizabeth Country Park to take part in a number of activities.

After we had arrived we had a quick snack stop and a bit of a run around.

Then we made human caterpillars by each of us wearing blindfolds and our leader guiding us to our next destination.  There were lots of shrieks and giggles!!

Our first activity in the forest was a mini-beast hunt.  We found snails, slugs, centipedes, millipedes, flies, moths, beetles, works and even a toad!

Next we put our collaborative and creative skills to work and constructed nature mini-beasts collages.  We created a beetle. butterflies, centipedes (with 100 legs!) and a slug!

We still had a bit of time before lunch so finished the morning with a nature scavenger hunt.

After making sure our hands were super clean we ate our lunch together.

After lunch we had great fun together in the play area as a treat for being such superstars!

We had a super time at Q.E.C.P. and would like to say a HUGE thank you to our fabulous team of volunteer helpers.
